Anti-static

Performance

Definition

Materials that reduce static build-up, lowering the chance of sudden discharge. Anti-static does not always provide a controlled path to ground.

Why it matters

  • Reduces charge build-up compared to standard flooring.
  • Not the same as controlled ESD dissipation.
  • May still require grounding for electronics areas.

  • Light electronics handling areas.
  • Packaging lines with static-sensitive materials.
  • General assembly where full ESD control is not required.
