About this product

The M-Series ESD shoe heel grounder is worn around the heel and sits under the sole so the operator is connected to ground through the floor. When used on conductive or dissipative flooring, it gives static charges a continuous path away from the body while the operator walks or stands.

It fits all shoe sizes and is quick to fit, making it the mobile alternative to a fixed wrist-strap point for staff who move around an ESD floor rather than staying at one bench. For it to work, the floor itself must be ESD-rated — pair it with the M4 ESD anti-fatigue floor mat.

Questions we get asked

Does the heel grounder work on any floor?

No. It grounds the operator through the floor, so the floor must be conductive or dissipative — for example an M4 ESD anti-fatigue floor mat. On a standard floor there is no path to ground.

Heel grounder or wrist strap?

A heel grounder suits staff who move around an ESD floor; a wrist strap suits someone working at a fixed bench. Many EPAs use both.
