About this product

The M5 Heavy Duty Tile is the plain-top tile in our Heavy Duty Safety Flooring family, part of the M5 range. Each tile is 46 x 46 x 2.5 cm and weighs 4.7 kg, supplied in boxes of 6.

M5 tiles interlock, so you can build a mat to any footprint and reconfigure it when your layout changes. Each tile covers roughly 0.21 square metres, and a box of 6 covers about 1.3 square metres.

Two variants are available on this page: black, and smooth black with a smooth top surface. If you need extra grip, the M5 Heavy Duty Gritted Tile is sold separately; for static-sensitive areas, see the M5 Heavy Duty ESD Tile. Matching M5 heavy-duty edging finishes exposed edges.

How much floor does one tile cover?

Each 46 x 46 cm tile covers roughly 0.21 square metres, so a box of 6 covers about 1.3 square metres. Send us your floor dimensions and we will work out quantities.

How does this differ from the gritted and ESD heavy-duty tiles?

This is the plain version of the M5 heavy-duty tile. The M5 Heavy Duty Gritted Tile adds a gritted top surface for extra grip, and the M5 Heavy Duty ESD Tile is the variant for static-sensitive areas. All three are the same 46 x 46 x 2.5 cm format.

Is there matching edging?

Yes. Matching M5 heavy-duty edging is available in the shop to ramp the tiles down to floor level.

Can I get a sample?

Yes. Samples are available on request so you can check the tile before ordering.
